About the Role
We are looking for a commercially driven and analytical
Commercial Finance Manager
to join our FMCG business based in Uxbridge. This role will be a key business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams, providing financial insight and strategic support to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and market share. You will play a crucial role in shaping commercial strategy, optimising promotional spend, and improving customer and product profitability.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to evaluate promotional effectiveness, trade investment, and brand performance.
* Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance review processes for UK & Ireland commercial operations.
* Provide actionable insights on sales, margin, and profitability by customer, channel, and product line.
* Support pricing decisions, trade terms negotiations, and customer profitability analysis.
* Evaluate business cases for NPD (New Product Development), category expansions, and strategic investments.
* Deliver accurate and timely management reporting, with clear recommendations for senior leadership.
* Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform commercial decision-making.
* Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting, planning tools, and commercial processes.
Skills & Experience
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience.
* Proven experience in a commercial finance role within FMCG or consumer goods.
* Strong understanding of trade spend, promotional planning, and customer/channel profitability.
* Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with SAP, Hyperion, or similar systems desirable.
* Commercially astute, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
