Digital IC Design Engineer – Edinburgh, Scotland
A cutting-edge technology company is seeking a Digital IC Design Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation, commercial-grade LiDAR systems. As the Digital IC Design Engineer you will have experience in digital circuit specification, design, and verification for ASIC and mixed-signal SoCs. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, startup-style environment where engineers are empowered to take on varied responsibilities and broaden their technical skill sets.
This position is based at the company's design centre in Edinburgh, Scotland, and offers the chance to work on some of the most innovative imaging systems in development today.
Key Responsibilities
* Define digital architecture and block-level concepts
* Develop detailed specifications for digital functions
* RTL design and verification using SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL
* Collaborate closely with analog IC designers and subcontractors
* Debug RTL and gate-level simulation failures
* Write scripts in Python, Perl, or similar for automation and testing
