Location: Partington, Trafford (M31)Setting: Mainstream Primary School Year Group: Year 6 Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (school hours) Pay: Up to £115 per day, depending on experience and qualifications A dynamic and inclusive mainstream primary school in Partington (M31) is seeking a confident and capable HLTA or experienced L3 teaching assistant with cover supervision experience to support their Year 6 class. This is a high-responsibility classroom-based role where you’ll be trusted to lead learning, create tailored resources, and support pupils with SEMH needs, both in small groups and across the class. What the role involves:- - Supporting the Year 6 teacher with daily classroom routines - Taking small groups or the full class for planned activities or cover sessions - Creating and adapting resources for different learning levels - Differentiating tasks to support SEMH learners and ensure accessibility - Maintaining behaviour expectations and creating a calm, focused environment - Contributing to learning displays and classroom organisation About you: - You may hold HLTA status, a Level 3 or Level 4 TA qualification, or have substantial experience in a similar role — all relevant qualifications and training are valued - You have experience working in UK schools, ideally Key Stage 2 or Year 6 - Confident delivering lessons or interventions independently when needed - Comfortable with challenging behaviour and skilled in using calm, proactive strategies - You hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or are willing to apply for one) Why this school? - Supportive and approachable staff team - Clear structure and routines — especially important in Year 6 - Opportunity to genuinely shape pupil outcomes in the run-up to SATs - Access to ongoing CPD-accredited training - Long-term opportunity for the right person INDMAN
