Building Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Tower Hamlets
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (42.5 hours per week)
Salary: £ 43,706.28 per annum + company van, fuel card, and benefits package

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational oversight, excellent communication, and a commitment to service excellence. You’ll manage trades and subcontractors, carry out inspections, and ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
Role Responsibilities
1. Conduct pre- and post-inspections on internal and external tenanted properties
2. Supervise and coordinate subcontractors across multiple workstreams
3. Oversee planned, cyclical, and responsive repairs to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
4. Ensure all works meet industry standards and building regulations
5. Log works and generates reports using PDA systems and Excel
6. Provide excellent customer care and resolve issues professionally
7. Monitor productivity, resource allocation, and contract profitability
8. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance
9. Compile management reports on operational activities and performance
10. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and company operating procedures
Role Criteria
11. A full valid UK manual driving licence
12. Experience in the above duties
13. Proven experience supervising operatives within the repairs and maintenance sector
14. Ability to carry out inspections and assess work against quality standards
15. Strong understanding of planned, cyclical, and responsive repair programmes
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
17. Ability to use PDA systems and Excel for reporting and logging tasks
18. Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence
19. Organisational and planning skills to manage resources and meet deadlines
