Consultant – Outside School Hours Care
Full‑time continuing position at Catholic Education – Diocese of Rockhampton. Commencement Term 3, 2026 (13th July 2026) or as negotiated. Salary $122,216–$135,125. Employment in full‑time. Applications closing Monday 29 June 2026.
About the Role
The role supports Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinators across 19 OSHC services, enhancing quality, compliance, and consistency of programs that promote children’s wellbeing, identity, and learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and support across OSHC service operations and maintain high standards of health and safety.
- Guide compliance with legislation, the National Quality Framework, and Early Learning policies.
- Support OSHC Coordinators, nominated supervisors and the Early Learning and Care team in assessment and rating processes.
- Communicate regularly with OSHC Coordinators and nominated supervisor regarding service operations.
- Organise OSHC training and professional development opportunities.
- Support OSHC services in meeting legislative requirements and the NQF aspects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Industry experience in Early Childhood or OSHC sector.
- Diploma level qualifications in Early Childhood and Care or School Age Education and Care or equivalent.
- Current valid Blue Card, Suitability Notice and National Child Protection training.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Current driver’s licence and ability to travel within the Diocese.
- Australian work rights.
- Physical ability to perform duties safely.
