Job Description
Due to the significant growth of the UK Public Sector business Version 1 is keen to recruit an experienced Account Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager looking for a new challenge, and the opportunity to work with large scale clients. You will develop an existing portfolio of customer accounts across the public sector in a way that delivers sales and growth targets, maximises revenue whilst delivering the highest level of customer service. The role will be part of a successful team focused on UK Public Sector opportunities. The team is made up of sales people who generate new opportunities and/or lead on responses to large government tenders and Account Managers who manage opportunities into the existing customer base.
Responsibilities
* High levels of customer satisfaction in line with company targets.
* Account financial targets, i.e. growing value of new and existing accounts.
* Prepare and own Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for your customers, ensuring they are effective. Drive completion of any arising actions from the QBR.
* Prepare, present, and deliver Version 1 propositions to customers and be confident in your ability to do this virtually and in person.
* Contribute to bid strategies to maximise winning opportunities, ensuring the pre-qualification process makes opportunities viable.
Other Responsibilities
* Sustain a pipeline aligned to your customer horizon – understand strategy over 24 months and identify opportunities to help shape plans.
* Effective time management and prioritisation of tasks; flag issues outside area of own expertise.
* Obtain customer and partner publicity including case studies, win wires, and press releases.
* Collaborate with Delivery, Partner Account Managers, and Commercial Operations to ensure success with bid reciprocity, contracts, and prospects.
* Travel regularly to Version 1 and customer sites across the UK and Ireland to build and strengthen relationships.
Qualifications
* Experience in a sales team in an account management capacity or similar role.
* Experience in IT Services, IT Consultancy, Technology solutions or similar industry.
* Awareness of (or willingness to learn) Public Sector tender processes, including Government Frameworks
* Influencing and communication skills (written and verbal) to motivate at multiple levels.
* Confidence in completing tenders and internal documentation to a high standard using Microsoft Office.
* Experience building good customer relationships.
* Good commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines with effective prioritisation and risk awareness.
