About the Role
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF: I am an 18 year old living in Rhydyfelin, in the Pontypridd area and I have learning disability. I enjoy History and visiting places such as St Fagans and Museums. I am looking for a PA to access the community to increase my confidence, independence skills and provide me with social opportunities.
Purpose of the Job
The main purpose of the job is to support me in the community and with social activities.
Hours of Work
3hrs per fortnight
Rates of Pay
Meets NLW plus mileage where applicable.
Tasks Involved
* Accompanying me when out and about
* Taking me to places of interest
* Ensuring my safety is priority at all times
* Encouraging my interaction & independence
Type of Person Required
* Someone outgoing and confident
* Someone who is reliable
* Driver/Car Owner needed with business class insurance
About the Job / Employment Details
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
