We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our busy Freshly Prep'd team. Working as part of the kitchen team to ensure a high level of food safety standards and contribute to the delivery of high quality, seasonal dishes, for the retail & convenience sector.
The ideal candidates will have:
* 1 year's experience helping in a busy kitchen - Preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
Duties will include:
* Ensuring cleanliness of the kitchen is maintained to a high standard
* Following cleaning scheduled as set out by the business
* To ensure all equipment is cleaned and returned to the appropriate area
This is a full time role, with regular working hours,
* This role is primarily days -Monday - Sunday working 5 days on 2 days off but some Flexibility to work occasional evenings if required to cope with demand.
* Full time 40-45 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Cleaning & Hygiene Maintenance
Performs high care cleaning of machinery, equipment, and production environment to maintain stringent hygiene standards.
Compliance with Hygiene & Safety Procedures
Follows all hygienic and health & safety procedures rigorously, including the correct use of protective clothing and safety equipment.
Record Keeping & Documentation
Completes and signs off daily cleaning records accurately to ensure traceability and compliance with food safety standards. Reports hygiene-related documentation and observations directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Reporting Maintenance & Equipment Issues
Identifies and promptly reports any maintenance needs or equipment faults to the Quality Assurance Manager for timely resolution.
Stock Level Reporting
Monitors and reports stock levels of cleaning materials and sundry equipment to ensure continuous availability and support operational needs.
Reliability, Teamwork & Adaptability
Demonstrates punctuality and reliability, works effectively both independently and as part of a team, and is adaptable to evolving hygiene practices and operational requirements.
