We are seeking a Trainee Quality Technician to play a key role in supporting the Quality Team in monitoring, testing, and maintaining the quality standards of our tile products. This is a development role, offering hands-on training and mentoring, with the opportunity to build technical expertise and progress within Northstone Materials.
No previous experience in Quality Control is required for this role- full training will be provided.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the sampling and testing of tile products in accordance with company and industry standards;
* Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality procedures and specifications;
* Record, analyse, and report test results accurately;
* Support the investigation of quality issues and contribute to corrective and preventive actions;
* Assist in maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment;
* Work closely with production and technical teams to drive continuous improvement;
* Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

* Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* Ability to follow instructions and work to standard operating procedures.
* Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, data entry).
Desirable Criteria
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and a Science subject would be beneficial.
* Further education or interest in engineering, materials science, or related disciplines desirable.
