We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Chief Pharmacist - Cancer Services to join our Pharmacy department at The London Clinic, based at our main hospital site in London (W1G 6JA). We are offering a competitive salary range (Band 8b NHS equivalent) starting from £70,000 per annum depending on experience.
Job Profile
This post will act as the Cancer Services lead for the London Clinic pharmacy and manage clinical pharmacy services across all cancer areas.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent, working 37.5 hours per week.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm.
Job Location: 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW (close to Regent's Park/Baker Street tube stations).
Salary: Band 8b NHS equivalent.

Key Duties
1. Plan, deliver, and coordinate continuous service improvements and audits related to medicines optimisation across all cancer services.
2. Collaborate with other lead pharmacists to provide consistent clinical pharmacy services to cancer wards.
3. Share management responsibilities for the rotational clinical pharmacists at the Duchess of Devonshire Wing.
4. Develop and deliver patient-focused clinical pharmacy and technical services in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Develop and monitor medicines management systems to ensure safe, effective care.
6. Provide specialist pharmacist expertise at super user level for the electronic prescribing system.
7. Promote the rational use of drugs, especially high-value medications, within the Clinic and particularly in the Duchess of Devonshire Wing.
8. Ensure pharmacy services and training for pharmacists comply with JACIE standards.
9. Serve as the Accountable Pharmacist for the pharmacy aseptic unit.
10. Act as the Lead Intrathecal Pharmacist.
11. Manage the Pharmacy Quality Assurance Manager.
Skills and Experience
* At least 5 years of post-registration experience in clinical hospital pharmacy.
* At least 3 years of experience in haematology/oncology services.
* Leadership and supervisory experience.
* Effective multidisciplinary team working skills.
* Experience with electronic prescribing systems.
* Knowledge of aseptic manufacturing and GMP standards.
