Pastry Assistant needed for full time, seasonal work.
The White Apron is a high volume, full service, off-site catering company located in Dover, NH. All prep is done in our production kitchen. We cater events from small intimate dinners for 10 guests to high-end weddings for 350 guests.
The White Apron is looking for a full time, seasonal Pastry Assistant with experience in pastry production, to join our team. Must be able to drive to off-site events when necessary. We cater events up to 90 minutes from Dover, NH.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do and comfortable working in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years pastry experience, communication skills and proper kitchen etiquette.
Responsibilities
1. Work closely with the Pastry Chef to follow recipes.
2. Produce & portion mini sweets.
3. Assist in bread production and cake production.
4. Make crackers and toasts from scratch.
5. Manage freezer inventory and maintain a clean and organized work station.
6. Look at upcoming events to ensure we stay ahead.
7. Work one event a week that may involve long hours, packing, cooking, and plating elegant dishes on site, as well as breakdown and cleanup.
