Communications and Community Engagement Officer – Be the Voice That Connects and Inspires

Are you passionate about building meaningful connections between projects and the people they impact? Join us as a Communications and Community Engagement Officer at our clients flagship project in North Wales, where you will play a vital role in shaping clear, timely communication and fostering strong community relationships throughout a dynamic construction project. This is your chance to lead proactive communications planning, engage diverse stakeholders, and help deliver impactful community experiences that make a difference.


What You’ll Bring

* Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive communications plans that keep communities informed and engaged
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for crafting clear updates, notifications, and media content
* Experience managing community engagement activities such as events, info sessions, and site visits
* Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with local leaders, businesses, and community groups
* Proficiency in using digital platforms to maintain project websites, social media, and notification services (e.g., SMS/WhatsApp)
* Capability to respond swiftly and professionally during crisis situations, supporting urgent communication needs


Valued Additional Skills

* Background in media relations and PR event support
* Familiarity with monitoring and managing social media conversations related to community projects
* Experience in developing newsletters or project publications


Background

* Strong Communications skills and experience with community engagement an important second requirement.
* 5 Years experience in either Communications or Community Engagement


Other Important Details

* Flexibility to attend community events outside of regular hours as needed
* 4 days on site with 1 day WFH.
