We are looking for an outstanding Housekeeper & Kitchen Assistant with a passion for making a difference to others. You’ll be working 20 hours per week, as both a Housekeeper and Kitchen Assistant (dependent on which area needs support) at Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care. Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove is our new hospital for women in Staffordshire. The service is now open and accepting referrals. There are two wards at the hospital; a 20 bed Acute service for women and an 11 bed Highly Specialised Personality Disorder Rehabilitation service. Crocus Ward provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. Burleigh Ward provides specialised support for women with a personality disorder and other complex needs. Your day-to-day… Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes Maintain & replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations As part of the Catering Team, the Kitchen Assistants (KA) will assist in the efficient preparation, service and distribution of meals to patients, staff and visitors providing a quality service of meals, snacks and beverages, using agreed recognized Catering, hygiene and safety practices, methods and procedures, under the supervision of the Duty / Head Chef depending on the duties allocated.
