Overview
Residential Security Assistant to join our team at Wenger House AP, 21A Albert Street, Newcastle-Under-Lyme ST5 1HJ. Approved Premises provide enhanced supervision, monitoring, and rehabilitation for residents, supporting individuals as they reintegrate into the community after prison. This role is ideal for those with experience working with complex and vulnerable individuals in a residential setting within the Criminal Justice System.
Working hours: 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off shift pattern. There is overtime available. Pay: £12.21 per hour with a £1 bonus per hour worked for four months per year. Car parking is available.

What You’ll Do
* Supervise and support residents, handling day-to-day issues and escalating serious incidents when necessary.
* Ensure residents follow the rules and respond appropriately to breaches or challenging behaviour.
* Engage with residents in a positive, pro-social manner and support their rehabilitation.
* Maintain records, process information, and update the database with significant occurrences.
* Monitor and record residents' movements in and out of the premises.
* Conduct curfew checks, wellbeing checks, fire alarm tests, room searches, and CCTV monitoring.
* Assist with substance misuse support, including dispensing and recording medication when required.
* Support the delivery of purposeful activities and effective inductions for residents.
* Ensure a safe and productive environment, including health and safety monitoring.
