Job Specifications:
- Complete daily bookkeeping tasks for a varied portfolio of clients such as, posting sales invoices, purchase invoices, and reconciling various bank accounts .
- Ensure transactions are accurately posted to the correct nominal accounts.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns for all business activities.
- Manage the sales ledger, ensuring up-to-date debtors information is kept up to date.
- Manage purchase ledger, ensuring creditors information is kept up to date.
- Prepare payment runs.
- Efficiently handle employee expense claims.
- Reconcile the business’s intercompany loan accounts.
- Analyse bookkeeping data into financial statements format to report back to directors on the overall performance of the business.
- Post and review month end journals to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Manage, organise and update relevant data using database applications.
- Maintain a full and accurate audit trail by filing and referencing documents.
- Assist with administrative duties to prepare end of year accounts.
- Advise managers of any outstanding financial issues.
- Assist with the training and monitoring of bookkeeping apprentices.
