This is a fantastic opportunity to join Portsmouth Homes as a Housing Officer and make a real difference! This is a full‑time role (37 hours per week Monday to Friday) and the role is permanent.
The Housing Officer role is an integral part of Portsmouth Homes’ housing management services, responsible for delivering a comprehensive service to roughly 400 homes within a dedicated patch.
Responsibilities
* Deliver effective and efficient housing management services, including anti‑social behaviour management, arrears management (including debt and benefit advice), void management and lettings, and general tenancy management.
* Ensure income maximisation, efficient letting of homes and provide high‑quality customer service throughout the tenancy.
* Support tenants in maintaining and sustaining their tenancies, including enforcement actions where necessary.
* Manage tenancy enforcement, including anti‑social behaviour, money and debt advice, income collection, changes to personal circumstances, and termination of tenancy or dealing with deceased estates.
* Track and manage demand within the patch, contributing to performance data and prioritising workloads effectively.
* Act as the main relationship manager with tenants and liaise with other services as needed.
* Maintain accurate and complete records of all tenant interactions on the tenancy record.
Qualifications
