Student Cribs are the largest provider of second and third year housing in the UK. To date, Student Cribs has over 1000 properties (over 4,900 beds) in 24 cities. Student Cribs finds, buys, refurbishes, lets, and manages high quality student houses and flats on behalf of its investors. The whole process is managed in-house to ensure high brand standards across the portfolio with a focus on customer service and tenant enjoyment. We have a significant amount of investment to fuel future fast growth, which will enable Student Cribs to continue to be the primary national brand giving second and third year students a safe, reliable, and exciting choice when renting their first home.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual to join our Management team as a Portfolio Manager in Newcastle.
Portfolio Manager Responsibilities:
· To assist with the lettings, property management & customer service team for the property portfolio
· To achieve or exceed planned rent income and expenditure targets and budgets
· Manage the transition & integration of new acquisitions into the business
· Ensure the appearance & presentation of our properties meets expected high standards
· Develop, manage & motivate our ambassadors and agent network to achieve letting & financial objectives
· Ensure compliance with statutory, industry code & best practice requirements
· Strengthen adherence to existing operational processes & standards
· Organise & manage annual tenant handover process each summer
· Support the implementation and embedding of planned new digital business processes
· Address & resolve escalated issues & complaints in a timely & efficient manner
· Research, monitor & report on market activity in existing and target cities
· To carry out any reasonable request from the senior management team and to work flexibly across the organisation as required.
Portfolio Manager Requirements:
· Excellent organisation & time management skills
· Great team working skills - able to work well with a wide range of people
· Strong budget management credentials & accountability
· Confident, particularly when talking on the phone
· Can adapt to new tasks on a daily basis
· Committed to providing excellent level of customer service from initial contact through to tenancy end
· Able to manage multiple projects running concurrently
· Strong HMO and/or PBSA sector experience
Further details:
· Full time, permanent contract – immediate start date available
· Location: London
· Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 depending on experience.
· Discretionary performance-based bonus of up to 25%
· Hours: 09:00am to 18:00 Monday to Friday with the ability to work some weekends where required (especially during mid-June and mid-August).
· Company phone & Laptop provided
· Full UK driving license desired but not essential
