An opportunity has arisen to appoint a full timeData Analysts to the Data Services department. The primary responsibility ofthe post holder will be to deliver information analysis and reporting, and toassist in implementing Business Intelligence solutions that support serviceimprovement and management.
The permanent full-time post is based on 37.5 hoursper week.
Salary Range: £32,000 to £35,500 per annumdepending on experience.
You must have full right towork in the UK as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship or visa extension forthis role.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be ateam player and will work in conjunction with the Data Engineering &Analytics Manager in creating a data transformation program that includes theautomation of reporting processes. Thepost holder will require a good understanding of analytical and statisticaltechniques that can be applied to healthcare information.

Job responsibilities
The Data Analyst will work with Senior Managementand Operational staff to develop and deliver a quality information and analysisservice, providing them with the full range of business intelligence theyrequire to manage services effectively, and to support future planning andservice development.
The Data Analyst will be required to possessin-depth knowledge of mathematics, statistical analysis and modellingtechniques acquired through degree (or equivalent) level knowledge andexperience.
The Data Analyst will be expected to have a goodunderstanding and knowledge of relational databases, information reporting /dashboarding and sql querying. Ideally this will be based on the Microsoft BIstack, including SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, MS Excel and Power BI.
The Data Analyst will carry out work on datapreparation, data quality, data analysis, modelling, forecasting and thecreation and presentation of standard, regular and bespoke reports anddashboards for both internal and external customers. The aim will be to addresscustomer / service user requirements, support strategic planning, decisionmaking, performance management, service improvement and service redesign.
The Data Analyst will also work on defined projectsand programmes as well as responding to ad hoc requests for informationanalysis. The role requires the post holder to adopt a proactive and flexibleapproach and to use initiative in problem solving.

General Qualities
* Excellent interpersonal skills strong oral, written and presentation skills including the ability to communicate complex information to colleagues
* Excellent critical thinking analytical problem-solving skills
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a STEM field
* Evidence of relevant training (databases, data analysis etc)
Experience
* Advanced data analysis skills in MS Excel to interrogate, interpret and sent complex data to meet customer needs.
* High level IT literacy including extensive working knowledge of Excel
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of relational databases and information reporting.
* Knowledge of information systems which includes the ability to operate and manipulate data from a database.
* In-depth knowledge of mathematics, statistical analysis and modelling tools and techniques.
* Experience of SQL databases and ability to write SQL queries.
* Development of Data Dashboards using Power BI or equivalent
* Experience of reporting information systems within the NHS/healthcare field
