Overview
Heathfield School is seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Team Leader to join our welcoming independent boarding and day school. This vital, hands-on role involves leading the maintenance and housekeeping teams, ensuring the school estate is safe, compliant, and well-presented. You will combine practical skills with effective team leadership, support statutory checks, manage contractors, and contribute to the smooth running of school operations and events.
Candidates with a strong background in facilities or estates management and a proactive, can-do attitude are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
* Lead the maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure the school estate is safe, compliant, and well-presented.
* Support statutory checks and regulatory compliance.
* Manage contractors and third-party service providers.
* Contribute to the smooth running of school operations and events.
* Foster a proactive, collaborative facilities/estates team culture.
Qualifications
* Strong background in facilities or estates management.
* Proactive, can-do attitude; proven leadership/line-management experience.
