Coroner Support Officer & Listings Clerk – Salisbury, Wiltshire, United Kingdom
Salary: £29,064 – £31,022 per annum
Hours per week: 37

This role is part of the Legal & Governance directorate and involves supporting the public during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. The position offers growth within a specialist team at the heart of the Coronial Service, providing exposure to complex casework, legislation, court procedures and multi‑agency collaboration.
Responsibilities
* Manage inquest listings and coordinate hearings.
* Prepare and collate case files and bundles for the Coroner’s Court.
* Handle sensitive information with professionalism, calm and empathy.
* Engage with bereaved families and partner agencies.
* Ensure legal and procedural compliance, applying the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 and statutory requirements related to the deceased.
Qualifications
* Awareness of the work of the Coronial Service.
* HNC or NVQ Level 4, or equivalent skills, and preferably a Level 3 qualification in Customer Service, Business or Public Administration.
* Knowledge and practical experience with the Coroners and Justice Act 2009.
* Experience within a court setting, including the preparation and collation of bundles.
