Connect Appointments have a new opportunity within the Livingston area for a Press Brake Operator to join our client's growing team on an on-going basis.
What's on offer?
* Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:00 - with an early Friday finish
* £12.30 to £12.50 per hour - depending on experience
Working as a Press Brake Operator your duties will include:
* Select appropriate tooling, dies, and punches for each job
* Measure and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
* Make necessary adjustments to the machine settings to achieve desired results
* Setting up and operating the press brake machine to bend, shape, and form metal sheets as per engineering drawings and specifications
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process
* Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
* Perform routine maintenance on the press brake machine to ensure its optimal performance
To be successful you will ideally have proven experience as a Press Brake Operator within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metal fabrication industry. Combined with:
* Proficient in setting up and operating brake press machinery
* Strong knowledge of metalworking techniques, tool, and equipment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Excellent mathematical and measurement skills
* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
* Ability to work in dependently and as part of a team
* Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when required
