Role Summary
As a Principal Information Management Consultant, you will lead the delivery of advisory projects, providing end‐to‐end trusted advice to support our clients in energy, transport, water sectors and key growth areas such as Water, Buildings, Rail, Aviation or Defence. You will play a vital role in growing the business, connecting with clients and colleagues to create opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of advisory projects and manage concurrent priorities across the team.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to junior staff, supporting and directing them.
- Develop and embed information management strategies and capability on major infrastructure programmes in line with BS1192 / ISO 19650.
- Exploit information requirements documentation and BIM execution plans to facilitate information exchange.
- Use lean and agile working principles to deliver projects efficiently.
- Communicate with suppliers around information deliverables and engage with BIM and information managers to formulate requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Grow the business by leveraging an established network of contacts to create new opportunities.
- Support the creation of information management capability to enable delivery of business objectives and optimise asset performance.
- Assist in managing contractual implications of information requirements and change control.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to help clients achieve their business objectives.
Desired Experience & Skills
- Proven track record of information management in at least one key growth sector (Water, Buildings, Rail, Aviation or Defence).
- Experience of infrastructure project delivery processes and information management in capital and construction projects and programmes.
- Good technical knowledge and expertise in designing and embedding information management strategies aligned with BS1192 / ISO 19650.
- Strong commercial awareness, including knowledge of contractual implications of information requirements and change control.
- Understanding of data management concepts and capabilities, including data technology tools to support information management.
- Strong delivery and leadership skills in managing projects.
- Excellent business analysis and problem‑solving skills to develop and deliver tailored solutions for organisations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working with disruptive technologies and challenging current practice.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, flexible and supportive of client, team and personal commitments.
Working Conditions
The preferred home office location is London, however candidates based in Birmingham, Brighton, Manchester, Cambridge or Leeds will also be considered. Periods of travel within the UK and occasional international trips are expected.
