We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in knitwear and fashion to join our team as a Knitwear Assistant Designer Intern. In this role, you will support the design team in translating creative concepts into finished knitwear pieces through sketching, sampling, and development. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands‑on experience within a professional design environment. While prior experience is not essential, a foundational understanding of fashion or knitwear design is preferred. This is an unpaid internship intended to provide valuable industry exposure and support the development of your technical and creative skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development of knitwear samples and prototypes
* Produce and update technical sketches and design specifications
* Support yarn selection, swatching, and stitch development
* Assist with pattern development and garment construction
* Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers regarding yarns, trims, and production
* Monitor sampling progress and support quality control processes
* Maintain organization of design materials and studio workflow
