Job Summary
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an expanding service which we are delivering across Bolton: The Mental Health Support Team (MHST). We are looking for skilled practitioners, with mental health experience, who can provide low intensity evidenced based CBT interventions, manage risk and are passionate about young person-centred practice. Successful candidates will help deliver high-quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well-being of young people in education settings. As part of a new team, you will be empowered to shape and build the service with further education settings in Bolton, and build positive working relationships with colleagues and the wider network. The Current UK Mental Health Support Team Delivery plan aims to cover 100% of schools in the UK by 2030, with ongoing development and growth for the service and sister services.
Main duties
* Forming strong working relations with education settings
* Providing consultations to education colleagues and supporting education settings to embed a whole school approach to wellbeing
* Developing and delivering evidence-based individual and time-limited group interventions for young people within education settings
* Evidencing the outcomes of the MHST service
* Providing clinical supervision to Education Mental Health practitioners

Qualifications
Essential
* Core profession with valid registration (e.g., RMN, Social Worker) or equivalent post-graduate qualification in CBT, EMHP, CYWP; evidence of CPD in CAMHS
* Completion of an EMHP Supervisors Course
Desirable
* Completion of CYP improving access to psychological therapies certificate
Experience
Essential
* Experience of assessment and delivering evidence-based mental health interventions including low intensity CBT
* Experience of multi-disciplinary working within a CAMHS setting
* Experience and knowledge of safeguarding procedures for children and adults
* Experience in utilising and interpreting routine outcome measures
* Experience of peer supervision and consultation in multi-disciplinary settings
Desirable
* Experience of supporting young people in an educational setting
Knowledge
Essential
* Understanding of child and adolescent development; knowledge of risk assessment and safety planning
* Knowledge of legislation related to children/adolescents' mental health and safeguarding
* Understanding and knowledge of brief intervention psychological models

* Ability to teach/train others using multimedia materials
* Knowledge of research methodology and data analysis in CAMHS

* Ability to use CYP assessment skills and routine outcome measures effectively
