Teaching Assistant
An amazing opportunity has arisen at a Primary and Secondary specialist provision within Rawtenstall for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Year 3 and 8 Class on a full-time basis from May 2023. £12.90 - £13.50p/h.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting a child with SEN throughout the school day.
- Working alongside the school Senco.
- Understanding of EHCP’s.
- Setting targets and supporting the child to develop.
- Strong communication with the child’s parent/guardian.
- Supporting the class Teacher throughout the week.
- Setting up and clearing away the classroom each day.
The candidate:

- Ability to work on their own.
- Observant.
- Strong communication skills.

It is important that the right person has a strong understanding of the different types of Special Educational Needs and how to support these needs. It is also important to have an understanding of how to differentiate the support based on the child’s individual needs.
