We are working with a high school in the Leyland/Preston area who are seeking a proactive and supportive Classroom Support Assistant to join their welcoming team in September. This role involves working across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students in the classroom and delivering occasional interventions for those with lower-level abilities.
Your new role
* Provide in-class support to students, helping them access the curriculum and stay engaged in learning.
* Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation and classroom management.
* Deliver small group or one-to-one interventions focused on literacy, numeracy, and other foundational skills.
* Support students with varying learning needs, promoting confidence and independence.
* Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally in a classroom support role.
* A patient and encouraging approach to learning support.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual student needs.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
