The Role We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Officer to support ongoing high-voltage and grid connection projects across the South East. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across multiple live sites — ensuring safe working practices, compliance with legislation, and a positive safety culture throughout all project phases. Key Responsibilities * Lead site-based Health & Safety activities across multiple HV and substation projects. * Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments in line with company and client standards. * Support project teams to develop RAMS, method statements, and safe systems of work. * Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions to site personnel. * Investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-conformities — producing corrective action reports. * Work closely with clients, site management, and engineering teams to maintain compliance with HSE and CDM regulations. * Drive continuous improvement and foster a strong, proactive safety culture. Requirements * NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent HSE qualification (essential). * Proven experience within high-voltage, electrical, construction, or utility environments. * Strong understanding of CDM, HSE legislation, and best practices. * Excellent communication and leadership skills. * Ability to work across multiple project sites and engage effectively with diverse teams. * Full UK driving licence. * Sponsorship available for exceptional candidates already in the UK or with relevant HV industry experience abroad.
