My client is a leading commercial interiors specialist providing sub-contractors packages in areas such as Joinery, Architectural Glazing, Partitioning Systems and Structural Glass. Working alongside blue chip contractors on some of the most prestigious landmark commercial office projects in London and South East
The Contracts Manager Role
They have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Contracts / Project Manager to strengthen their contracts team and help in the implementation and delivery of projects on behalf of their clients.
You will manage and oversee projects from initiation to completion including initial design phase, handover stage, construction approval, design involvement for buildability, and co-ordination with client.
The Contracts Manager Roles & Responsibilities Include:
Assist with the assessment of sub-contractor work packages and placement of orders.
Assist with the compilation of our internal reconciliation documentation for the projects.
Assist the PM in the regular updating of the financial reconciliation documentation.
Attend client meetings with PMs and take meeting minutes.
Attend sites for review or assistance of site management.
Assist the PM in identifying and submitting variations on projects.
Assist the PM with the estimating of variations on projects.
Assist the PM with logistical management on the project.
Visit sub-contractor premises to manage quality.
Review quality of joinery items within the Hub workshop.
Assist the PM in the production of all project protocol documentation required per project.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure best value on orders placed.
Liaise with The Hub workshop production team to ensure joinery items are produced to specification and to the highest standards.
Assist the PM in the production of project programmes.
The close co-ordination between packages to ensure all elements of production items are built having been fully co-ordinated.
Assisting the PM with the sourcing of site labour and Management resource for the site installation period.
Assist the PM / Site Manager in the collation of site files and site related documentation prior to site.
The Successful Contracts Manager:
Minimum of 1 years project management experience within interiors subcontract packages for the likes of Partitioning, Dry Wall / Drylining, Ceilings, Structural Glass, Architectural Glazing, Cladding and Facades Industry
Alternatively experience in interior fit-out contractor with an understanding of joinery is desirable.
Excellent communications skills

Accuracy and a keen eye for detail
Self-motivated and able to use initiative
An interest in the business
