We are seeking a permanent, full-time SHE Advisor and Trainer to cover multiple business lines in the South East region.
Purpose and Responsibilities:
1. Eliminate workplace accidents, environmental incidents, and ill health within their area of control.
2. Assist in the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
3. Support site and senior operational management (AGM and AOM level) on SHE issues, providing advice, assistance, and training.
4. Promote competence training, ensure statutory compliance, disseminate best practices, conduct safety conversations, behavioral audits, and site inspections related to Health and Safety, Environment, and Sustainability.
5. Design SHE training packages to support the IMS, Pathway System, and MPA 'Safety by Competence' requirements.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SHE legislation, guidance, and best practices relevant to the industry.
7. Support the training department as directed by the SHE BP or Sustainability Director.
Skills and Experience:
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Understanding of UK and European SHE regulations (waste, air, water).
* Knowledge of management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 45003, ISO 50001, and experience working with certification bodies.
* Experience in preparing legal documents such as risk assessments, permit applications, and witness statements.
* Knowledge of HAZOP studies.
* Understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.
* NEBOSH/IEMA Certificate or equivalent; Diploma or membership are desirable.
* Experience in SHE training.
* Training in Root Cause Analysis techniques is desirable.
