What you'll be doing:
* Managing system patching and staying ahead of known vulnerabilities
* Maintaining and updating the Cyber Security Risk Register
* Configuring and reviewing firewall rules to protect the network perimeter
* Monitoring and responding using Microsoft Defender and Endpoint Protection tools
* Running phishing simulations and awareness training for staff
* Implementing data loss protection controls and securing Microsoft 365
* Conducting vulnerability scans and acting on results
* Supporting continuous improvements in the business's cyber security posture
What we're looking for:
* Experience in 2nd line IT support, infrastructure, or a similar role
* A strong interest in cyber security and a desire to build a long-term career in the space, ideally with good cyber security skills for the past 12 months+
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
* Someone who's comfortable learning fast, asking questions, and taking ownership
* Bonus points if you've already had exposure to cyber tools, M365 security features, or firewalls
You don't need to be a cyber expert (yet), just someone who's had some good commercial exposure to cyber security within IT infrastructure who is serious about becoming an expert.
