Job Description
We are hiring a Chef Manager at Tiger Primary School, Maidstone, to ensure future generations receive nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is term-time only, with no weekends, offering great flexibility.
The role includes:
* £15.00 per hour
* 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (hours vary between 6:30 am and 3:00 pm)
* Term-time only, plus 2 weeks nursery cover in summer (additional pay)
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present approximately 270 meals daily to Caterlink and client standards
* Ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements regarding Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation
* Enhance the company's reputation for excellent food and service by exceeding client and customer expectations
* Oversee daily operations of the location, supervise teams, manage inventories, monitor budgets, and implement action plans
* Main point of contact for the client at the school, ensuring regular improvements and adjustments
* Communicate with line managers to monitor KPIs and financial targets
* Support and train team members, lead by example, ensure training completion, and manage performance
* Supervise and support the Chef Manager at Glebe Primary School
