SPECIALIST PRIMARY SEN TEACHER (DURHAM) Do you want to teach in a setting where your compassion is as important as your curriculum knowledge? We are seeking a nurturing and reflective teacher to join a specialist primary SEN provision in Durham. This post is suitable for mainstream teachers who are keen to move into SEN and develop expertise in supporting vulnerable children. You will teach pupils with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional, behavioural, and communication difficulties. Many pupils use behaviour to express unmet needs, and your calm, therapeutic approach will help them thrive. You will be responsible for: Planning personalised learning programmes Supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural challenges Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom Working with families, therapists, and support staff Contributing to whole-team approaches for inclusion and wellbeing We are looking for a teacher who is emotionally intelligent, adaptable, and committed to safeguarding and inclusion.
