This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle from initial site identification, negotiation, and land/site acquisition to leading a professional team through planning, construction, and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers is key.
You will own the full development and planning process from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to multitask, and meet tight deadlines.

Note: You will be expected to work at our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your designated area at least 3 days a week.
Internal role title: Senior Acquisitions Consultant
What you'll do:
* Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals for new stores
* Conduct site inspections and development appraisals
* Manage legal and planning due diligence
* Oversee planning application lifecycle from submission to approval
* Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure projects
* Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers
* Manage the full development and planning process
* Handle real estate management of freehold and leasehold assets
What you'll need:
* Self-motivated with a drive to succeed
* Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant discipline
* Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning
* MRICS qualification (preferred)
* Strong negotiation skills and a well-established network
* Sound legal and commercial property knowledge
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Analytical mindset
* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK
