Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Butchery Manager to lead our team; driving efficiencies across the butchery operation, leading & developing a motivated workforce and taking ownership of the equipment, food safety on the shop floor, team KPIs, line management, daily planning and cutting & preparation of all meat types.
Jones is a family run catering butchers (est. 1962), with a close-knit team of butchers, production operators, warehouse assistants and delivery drivers, supplying meats from around the world to London and the Home Counties.

Relevant butchery, team leadership experience and knowledge of meat is required.
Please note that we supply and prepare all types of meat including (but not limited to) beef, pork, lamb and poultry so candidates will need to be comfortable prepping and handling all items.
Responsibilities:
· Manage daily workflow within the butchery function, considering orders, production workflow and stock levels.
· Manage, develop and grow our butchery team including (but not limited to) day to day team leadership & line management, conduct quarterly reviews alongside our Central Operations Team, disciplinary management, team motivation, nominate for Employee of the Month scheme and suggest any new team initiatives that might aid motivation & morale.
· Maintain cleanliness of the Butchery Centre.
· Maintain all butchery equipment and take responsibility for becoming our in-house troubleshooter for daily issues, escalating to relevant senior managers or contractors when required.
· Assist senior management team with planning for new equipment and space efficiency.
· Manage inventory and stock rotation.
· Take joint responsibility alongside the Junior Production Manager for JTB product development including (but not limited to) cuts, seasonal products, mince mixes, sausage specs, burger specs, marinades.
· Ensure training for any new butchery team members and existing team on any new specs.
· Regularly provide refresher sessions for butchery staff and any other team members who express an active interest in the skill.
· Monitor quality assurance and food safety protocols.
