What does this Care Assistant job involve? Hours of Work: 40 Hours Per Week - Shifts: 07:00 - 19:00 / 10:00 - 22:00 / 12:00 - 00:00 / 20:00 - 08:00
Responsibilities
* Personal care:
o Assisting with bathing, showering, and oral hygiene
o Helping with dressing and grooming
o Supporting with mobility and transfers
* Household and domestic tasks:
o Preparing meals and snacks, and assisting with feeding
o Doing laundry and ironing
o Cleaning the home
o Grocery shopping and running errands
* Health and wellbeing:
o Administering medication as per company policies
o Moving and Handling as per company policies
o Monitoring and reporting on the client\'s health and wellbeing
o Providing emotional support and companionship
o Helping clients stay active and engage in hobbies and social activities
* Administration and planning:
o Following and documenting tasks based on a client\'s individual care plan
o Keeping records of completed tasks, observations, and medication
o Maintaining confidentiality
o Coordinating with other healthcare professionals

* Social Care experience is not necessary, but it is desirable.
* A commitment to empowering people.
* Ability to work closely with families and outside agencies.
* Ability to take responsibility and remain calm in difficult situations.
* Willing to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
* A full UK driving license is desirable.
