Michael Page are actively working with a long standing client who are searching for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team in Leeds City Centre on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a hard working, ambitious individual that has gained experience in transactional finance duties, and is looking to progress over the long term. My client is a prominent player in their industry, achieving year on year growth, having doubled their turnover in the past 10 years. Job Description
* Process and coding manual invoices
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Chasing individuals for timesheets and outstanding documentation.
* Multitasking across finance and administrative duties, including last minute travel bookings.
* Working in a fast-paced, reactive environment with shifting priorities.
* Performing repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Taking direction and working collaboratively within a structured Finance team.
* Manage the finance inbox and handle general finance-related administrative tasks.
* Support the setup of new suppliers, ensuring all required documentation is collected and verified in accordance with company policy.
* Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of integrity in handling financial data.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
* Previous experience in a similar Purchase Ledger or Accounts Assistant position
* Educational background is preferred but not essential (Degree in Finance/Accounting, AAT Studier)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Hard working individual
* Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and colleagues.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
