We’re currently hiring reliable and self-driven team members to join our kitchen and catering team. You’ll be making sandwiches, salads and preparing beautiful cheese and charcuterie boards. We are particularly excited about individuals who are interested in the broader fine provisions world and there will be opportunities for you to cross-train with our other teams. This role is currently part time and you must be able to work Thursday until Sunday from 6:30am to 2:30pm (7:30am to 3:30pm on weekends). There is opportunity for the role to become full-time over time.

Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Catering and Culinary Production Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting daily gourmet sandwiches, preparing cheese and charcuterie boards for our catering services, making grab-and-go menu items, and managing the packing out of refrigerated goods. Your attention to detail, eye for presentation, and passion for food will play a key role in delivering a memorable experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare a variety of daily gourmet sandwiches, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
2. Create visually appealing cheese and charcuterie boards, using a diverse selection of artisanal products
3. Assist with catering orders, including planning, preparation, and packaging of food items
4. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations
5. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and assist with reordering as needed
6. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
7. Prepare dips, salads, and other grab-and-go lunch items
8. Ensure the proper handling, packing, and storage of all refrigerated goods, ensuring freshness and safety
Qualifications:
9. Previous experience in a food preparation role, preferably in a deli, sandwich shop, or catering environment
10. Strong knowledge of gourmet ingredients, particularly cheeses, charcuterie, and other fine provisions
11. Excellent knife skills and an eye for detail in food presentation.
12. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
13. Strong customer service skills and a friendly, positive attitude
14. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required
15. Passion for food and a creative approach to sandwich-making and board preparation
Requirements:
16. Ability to work with people of various backgrounds
17. Availability to work Thursday to Sunday mornings (~6:30am – ~2:30pm)
18. Flexibility and understanding that, as a new store, procedures are subject to change as needed
19. Must have reliable transportation as some shifts require the ability to pick up baked goods before coming into the shop
Compensation and Benefits:
20. $18-22 / hr depending on experience (includes a sales-based “house fee”)
