Job Description
The Ultra manufacturing function is responsible for the manufacture, integration, and testing of a wide range of products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out testing across a wide variety of electronic products, using automated and manual test equipment and processes for safety, capacities, compliance, and performance.
2. Conduct testing and fault-finding on customer returns/production units to board level using test equipment, specifications, and circuit diagrams.
3. Complete testing records and results individually as required for each product tested, and compile reports on findings and testing data gathered. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and kept up to date.
4. Perform Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and Vibration tests on electronic products.
5. Program PCBs and devices using Programming Loading Documents.
6. Produce investigation reports and statements of work where necessary.
7. Follow business, quality, and health & safety procedures.
8. Demonstrate innovation and provide recommendations within the team to assist continuous improvements.
Skills Required:
1. Proven experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
2. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and circuit diagrams.
3. Problem-solving skills and knowledge of testing methods, procedures, and protocols.
4. Experience working with different testing and measurement equipment.
5. Analytical thinking, attention to detail.
6. Report writing and documentation skills.
7. Strong computer skills, proficient in Excel and Word.
Educational Requirements:
1. Further education in Electrical or Electronic engineering (e.g., ONC, HNC, HND).
2. Electronic-based apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent experience.
3. Previous experience in electronics testing role.
4. Good foundation in electronics circuit theory, through industry or education.
5. Minimum A-level Mathematics and Physics.
Nationality Requirements
Candidates must be able to work in the UK without restrictions and be prepared for UK National Security Vetting.
