We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes early childhood education and development. The Deputy Manager will support the overall management of the nursery, assist in staff supervision, and maintain high standards of care and education.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Manager in the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Provide leadership and support to staff, promoting a positive team environment.
* Develop and implement engaging educational programmes for children aged 0-5 years.
* Foster strong relationships with parents and caregivers, maintaining open lines of communication regarding children's progress.
* Oversee the planning and delivery of activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery at all times.
* Conduct regular assessments of children's development and maintain accurate records.
* Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance skills in childcare practices.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a management role within a childcare setting or nursery.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Experience working with children, preferably in an early childhood education environment.
* Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel as required for nursery activities or outreach programmes.
