Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in London for a skilled Hair Transplant Surgeon. The role involves performing hair transplant procedures, consulting with patients to develop tailored treatment plans, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities include pre-operative assessments, performing surgical treatments, engaging in follow-up care, and contributing to continuous advancements in hair restoration techniques.

* Strong background in Medicine, General Surgery, and Surgery
* Commitment to clinical excellence and patient-focused care
* Exceptional hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and dexterity
* Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
* Relevant certifications and qualifications in surgical fields
* Experience in hair restoration procedures is a significant advantage
Operating Within CQC Compliance
* Practise within the clinic's CQC-compliant framework at all times.
* Follow clinic policies on consent, safeguarding, infection prevention and control, medicines management and record-keeping.
* Keep accurate and contemporaneous records in line with GMC Good Medical Practice and UK GDPR.
* Take part in audits, significant event reviews and complaints handling when asked, and comply with Duty of Candour (Regulation 20) in your own practice.
* Make sure any marketing content featuring your name, credentials, cases or commentary meets ASA, CAP Code and MHRA expectations. Clear any claims or before-and-after content through the clinical director or Registered Manager before publication.
Team and Training
* Work closely with the clinical director, nurses, technicians and front-of-house team to deliver a smooth patient pathway.
* Train and supervise surgical technicians as required.
* Take part in clinical governance meetings and continuous professional development.
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise. This is non-negotiable.
* Note: hair transplant surgery is not itself a GMC-recognised specialty, so inclusion on the GMC Specialist or GP Register is welcome but not required.
* Demonstrable independent experience performing hair transplant surgery across all three core techniques: FUE, FUT and DHI. Proficiency in all three is essential, not just one.
* A portfolio of recent cases with consistent, natural-looking outcomes.
* Strong understanding of hairline design, donor management and long-term planning.
* Professional indemnity cover appropriate to independent cosmetic surgical practice.
* Enhanced DBS within the last 12 months (or willingness to obtain).
* Right to work in the UK.
* Excellent communication skills and a patient-first manner.
* Membership of ISHRS, BAHRS, BAAPS, BAPRAS or a comparable body.
* Background in dermatology, plastic surgery or a related surgical specialty.
* Experience working in a CQC-regulated independent clinic.
* Experience training surgical technicians.
