Up to £42,000 DOE, pension and life assurance 25+8 days holiday, 0730-1600 Mon-Fri
This role covers all aspects of toolmaking - including CNC programming, machining, surface grinding, spark eroding, and bench work - and is ideal for someone seeking greater responsibility beyond traditional machining, benching, and toolmaking tasks.
In the role of Toolmaker, your duties will include:
* Manufacture new tooling as well as jigs and fixtures.
* Carry out tool repair and modification.
* Maintain tooling documentation.
* Using CAD data to program CNC machines.
* Assembly and bench work.
To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Toolmaker, the ideal candidate will:
* Have a solid understanding of injection mould tool manufacturing.
* Be able to read complex engineering drawings.
* Be competent in the use of CAM software.
* Have experience of CNC programming.
* Possess a solid understanding of toolroom equipment, able to manufacture new tooling, jigs and fixtures as well as repairs/modifications.
