Join Our Team – Precision Manufacturing We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Polisher to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about precision engineering and committed to delivering exceptional quality. You will perform manual polishing on aerospace engine blades, ensuring compliance with stringent standards while working independently or as part of a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Perform manual polishing using air tools and spindles. Remove cutter marks, machine tool marks, belt scratches, and repair blends on platforms, shrouds, and airfoils. Inspect own work using gauges, micrometers, and other standard inspection tools. Interpret engineering drawings and follow operation sheets accurately. Set up equipment with correct polishing belts and wheels. Book operations on Booking system and raise NCRs for non-conformance. Adhere to health and safety policies, wearing PPE and following best practices. Essential Skills & Attributes Safety-conscious with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Reliability, adaptability, and stamina for hands-on tasks. Good IT skills for Non Conformity booking. Qualifications & Experience GCSE Maths and English (essential). Experience with aerospace components and polishing (metal) processes is essential. Ability to use inspection tools and interpret engineering drawings (desirable). Vocational qualification or apprenticeship (desirable).
