Overview
Head of Logistics – Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard). Lead end‑to‑end logistics strategy and operations across dry goods, finished goods warehousing, transportation and third‑party logistics partners. The successful candidate will manage an approximately 150‑person team across multiple sites, ensuring reliable, cost‑effective and compliant supply‑chain movement from suppliers to bottling and global distribution.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: develop and execute the logistics strategy, shape the sustainability agenda, translate commercial and production forecasts into capacity planning, evaluate and govern 3PL and freight partners.
* Operational Delivery: oversee inbound dry‑goods planning, finished‑goods warehousing, HMRC‑compliant movements, domestic & international freight flows (OTIF, DIFOT), inventory control, and risk assessments.
* Performance & Cost Management: manage logistics budgets and cost controls, set KPI frameworks, lead business continuity planning, coach a high‑performing leadership team, foster a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement and collaboration.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in logistics, warehousing or supply‑chain operations for FMCG, drinks, food or regulated manufacturing; knowledge of international freight, customs processes and HMRC/excise compliance.
* Demonstrated leadership of multi‑layered teams in high‑volume, unionised environments with a focus on performance, safety and engagement.
* Proven experience managing multi‑site operations, 3PL partnerships and commercial logistics contracts.
* Capability to work constructively with trade union representatives and support collective bargaining.
