Job Description
The Role
* Position: Year 5 Class Teacher
* Working Pattern: Full-time
* Start Date: September 2025 (or as soon as possible)
* Contract Type: Fixed-term or long-term (with potential for permanent placement)
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 national curriculum
* Assessing and tracking pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
* Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive
* Working collaboratively with year group colleagues, support staff, and parents
* Contributing to the wider school life and upholding the school’s values
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable but not essential)
* DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
* Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies
* High expectations for all pupils and a commitment to raising standards
* Uk right to work and address
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
