We're hiring a Tax Reporting Manager to join our dynamic team at Woking!
The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to ensure that Corporate Tax reporting obligations for all Cencora International Group affiliates (i.e. outside the United States) are met. In performing this role, the candidate will be expected to conduct tax reporting activities (monthly, quarterly, annual reporting) and implement improvements to existing processes / seek efficiencies through technology solutions.
Additionally, the candidate will work closely with the International Tax team in respect of projects / transactions to understand, model and advise on the impact of such arrangements to tax provisions.
The candidate will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to general corporate tax / transfer pricing through assisting with various aspects of tax compliance and planning.
Key responsibilities include the following:
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax provision analysis schedules for reporting to group tax and business management teams. Prepare outputs (e.g. Excel / PowerBI / Powerpoint / Other) which will help communicate in general business language complex tax and ASC 740 calculations to non-tax business executives.
* Liaise with UK tax team in maintaining and updating for UK legislative changes a tax provision calculation file, and supporting businesses teams with using the file for computing tax provisions.
* Liaise with local finance teams to understand the composition of local tax provisions made (including understanding assumptions and key drivers of variances from the statutory tax rate), and perform reconciliations of statutory to effective tax rates.
* Maintain a tax risk register and have oversight over central provisions which may be required, including performing central computations for and advising on outputs regarding APB23 provisions and provisions for Uncertain Tax Positions.
* Supporting the integration of new businesses into the Cencora group on tax reporting, including setting up tax reporting processes and liaising with finance teams with respect to impacts which impact the purchase price allocation computations.
* Collate information and provide input into the US Tax Form 5471, 8858 and 8975, including working with local finance teams where appropriate.
* Work with IT, business finance and US corporate tax reporting teams to ensure that accounting systems are configured to produce the necessary information and the data obtained meets the requirements of the US corporate tax reporting teams. Seek to continuously improve the efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of global reporting of income tax expense, including integration of the provision system with the company’s Financial Planning and ERP systems.
* Assist in maintaining procedures and processes to ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls over the financial reporting of income taxes for non-U.S. operations.
* Using tools available in the Office 365 suite, design processes and procedures to optimize the way data is gathered and processed for tax reporting purposes with an aim to achieving further efficiency (e.g. by automating manual work) or improving the quality of the output (e.g. through automated interactive dashboard reports).
* Assists International Tax team to develop processes and models to support analyzing the cash tax and effective tax rate impacts of proposed legislation, M&A transactions, discrete events, jurisdictional audits and various planning scenarios.
* Assist in general corporate tax/transfer pricing matters on an ad hoc basis (with support and guidance from the team).
* Perform related duties as assigned.

An undergraduate degree and admission as a Chartered Accountant, CPA or the equivalent.
Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude and sense of accountability and ownership. ·
Comfortable with a fast pace and switching between competing priorities. · Good general IT skills and has a strong interest in using technology in achieving efficiencies. ·
Ability to communicate and influence effectively and collaborate with others. · Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to multi-task. · Self-starter and able to work independently.
SPECIFIC SKILLS
Fluency in English. Proficiency in other European languages is also desirable.
Advanced excel skills (including in PowerQuery) is an advantage. Knowledge in utilising a broader suite of tools within Office365, and/or knowledge of automation tools is desirable.
Ability to navigate ERP systems or financial reporting tools (e.g. Oracle, SAP, COGNOS).
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of tax reporting and tax reporting concepts.
Ideal candidates would have experience in tax reporting gained in an international accounting firm environment, or in an international tax function for a U.S. based multinational companies with responsibility for ASC 740 reporting functions for the international subsidiaries of U.S. based multinational companies. For areas that are new / unfamiliar to the candidate, he/she must be comfortable with performing research to arrive at informed conclusions.
Using tools available in the Office 365 suite, design processes and procedures to optimize the way data is gathered and processed for tax reporting purposes with an aim to achieving further efficiency (e.g. by automating manual work) or improving the quality of the output (e.g. through automated interactive dashboard reports).
