Youth Moves has been supporting young people in South Bristol since 2005, providing safe spaces, a voice, and confidence to thrive. Our services include open-access sessions, targeted mentoring, school partnerships, and community projects, all aimed at helping young people feel safe, be themselves, have fun, and build brighter futures.
We’re transitioning to 224 Youth Zone, offering thousands of young people a safe place, positive activities, and trusted adults. Our goal is to grow from 850 to over 4,000 members, creating bigger opportunities, stronger communities, and lasting change.
Behind our frontline services is a robust operational engine, which is where you come in.
We seek an experienced, driven Head of Business Operations to oversee the organization's daily operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and smooth functioning.
You will manage HR, health & safety, facilities, catering, volunteering, and reception, leading a team of managers and coordinators. You will collaborate with external HR partners and internal systems leads to streamline processes and uphold high standards.
As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will shape organizational strategy and culture, fostering a workplace where staff and young people can thrive.
What you'll bring:
* Significant experience in operations or business management, preferably in youth, charity, or public sectors
* Confident and compassionate leadership skills, with a proven track record managing teams and cross-functional projects
* A strategic, proactive approach to systems, problem-solving, and operational improvements
* Experience managing HR processes and working with external service providers
* A strong commitment to inclusion, safety, and excellence
