Monarch Education are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a Primary School in Hilton, Derbyshire.
This role is suited to candidates with experience in SEN who can provide structured, consistent support to help pupils access learning and develop both academically and socially.
About the Role
You will support pupils with special educational needs on a one to one and small group basis, working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support throughout the school day.
The role requires a calm, adaptable and patient approach, with a focus on building positive relationships and encouraging engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with SEN in class and during activities
Assist with tailored learning strategies and classroom tasks
Encourage engagement, focus and positive behaviour
Support emotional, social and communication development
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN professionals
Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
Experience working with SEN or SEND
Patient, reliable and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
Experience in education, care or support settings is desirable
