SEND PSHE Teacher
Location: Wedmore, Somerset
Pay: £168.80 – £243.45 per day
Type: Temp-Perm
Hours: Full-time
Start date: 01/09/2026 (possible sooner start date, depending on candidate availabilty)
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching PSHE within a SEND, secondary, or specialist school setting
Strong subject knowledge across the PSHE curriculum, including areas such as emotional wellbeing, relationships, independence, and life skills
The ability to plan and deliver engaging, accessible, and highly structured lessons that meet a wide range of additional needs
Confidence in differentiating activities to support pupils with diverse learning needs, including EHCP requirements
Strong behaviour management skills, with a calm, consistent, and nurturing approach that supports pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
A commitment to promoting inclusion, independence, and positive personal development for all learners
Excellent communication and organisational skills, working effectively with pupils, support staff, external professionals, and parents/carers
Contract & Recruitment Information
