We are recruiting for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer ▶ Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience ▶ Job type: Full time and Permanent This opportunity has arisen from our ongoing success and growth in the renewable energy sector. We are looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer. As part of the Projects Team, you will be responsible for providing exemplar project management throughout the project life cycle in line with Powersystems' strategy. Duties and responsibilities of the role include: ▶ Provide exemplar project management throughout the project life cycle including internal and external resource to ensure project goals and customer expectations are met ▶ Communicate with manage, mentor and coach project engineers, providing advice and guidance from initial concept to completion ▶ Organising and attend all project briefings and meetings with all stakeholders ▶ Deliver the commercial and financial goals of projects, agreeing initial budgets, procurement including competitive tenders from the supply chain and forecasting budgets for financial reporting ▶ Health and Safety - Ensure project compliance with all health and safety adherence, including strategic meeting and planning of projects, produce RAMs as well as undertaking safety and quality audits ▶ Build and maintain relationships with our clients and supply chain partners. Provide liaison on design, installation, and commissioning. Attend manufacturers factory acceptance tests ▶ Inspire and support the in-house design and engineering teams to generate equipment layouts, designs, cable schedules, testing, and commissioning procedures ▶ Organising the logistics of materials and equipment ▶ Working across all business function teams and stakeholders proactively provide support and guidance to all parties on compliance with statutory requirements and company standards ▶ Manage the interface between Powersystems and client, network operator commissioning and third-party engineers ▶ Uphold a professional image, contribute to Powersystems' success, and proactively improve services and efficiency. ▶ Embrace and demonstrate the Company’s 5 core Principles of: PriorityNo.1 – Health, Safety and Well-being, Professionalism, Pride, Partnership and Proactive Here’s what you need to be successful in the role: ▶ Minimum of 5 years’ experience of project management and delivery within the electrical contracting or utility industry ▶ A proven commitment to the success of the projects you undertake ▶ An excellent communicator and ambassador of the business at all levels highly confident in managing clients, contractors and third parties supplier relations ▶ Commercial management of projects and financial forecasting as a minimum between £1-10 Million ▶ Excellent planning and real ability to ‘look ahead’, whilst supporting business processes ▶ Degree, HND in Project Management, ideally experience in HV Systems ▶ Experience of managing large teams ▶ Have obtained or working towards professional registration with the IET at IENG / CENG level ▶ Strong organisational, time management, IT (MS Office), and report writing skills, with excellent spoken and written English. ▶ Ability to clearly communicate technical and commercial information, negotiate effectively, and contribute to a dynamic team. ▶ Adaptable, resilient, proactive, willing to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays, and holds a full UK driving licence.
