As Fundraising Manager you will play a key role in delivering Dorset County Hospital Charity's fundraising programme, as part of a small, collaborative team raising funds from a range of sources including events, challenges, corporate, grants, community fundraisers and individual giving.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will have a clear vision for implementing fundraising plans to develop current and new income streams, and maximise the effectiveness of established fundraising methods. Responsibility for the development and implementation of strategies to retain current, and acquire new supporters; as well as the ability to provide excellent stewardship for donors and fundraisers. Key responsibilities include, raising significant income in line with business plan targets. To build strong relationships with the Trust Board and Executive team, Charitable Funds Committee and hospital staff. To establish and manage productive relationships with donors, fundraisers and other supporters. To deliver an emotive case for support and effective income generation programme. To ensure Dorset County Hospital Charity maintains a high profile, that is clear and consistent, throughout the organisation and wider local community.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
* •Degree/or equivalent professional experience.
* •Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
Desirable criteria
* •Fundraising qualification e.g. Chartered Institute of Fundraising Certificate or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
* •Experience of managing/organising/promoting fundraising activities and identifying key targets that will attract support for the Charity (including events and challenges).
* •Significant experience of working in a fundraising management role within the NHS, charity or public sector.
* •Experience of managing corporate relationships.
* •Demonstrable experience of donor or customer care with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
* •Experience of managing a range of fundraising/income generation streams to achieve targets.
* •Experience of managing or directing others to achieve an agreed goal.
* •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* •Expert knowledge of charity regulations as set out by Charity Commission and the Fundraising Regulator.
Desirable criteria
* •Good knowledge of the local charitable sector and key players/competitors for funding.
* •Experience of marketing services/support and campaign management.
* •Experience of producing reports for presentation or for publication.
* •Experience of using a customer relationship, or donor management database.
* •Experience of working with volunteers.
